FALL/WINTER 2010

The Ensemble practices the fine art of avoiding rotten tomatoes.

 

Bill and Kay joined Voices For Hope Winner Santana Roberts along with jazz great and Grammy Award winner Patti Austin for a "Locally Grown-Locally Given" event to benefit local RI  Food Pantries on September 25

October 9-11:  Bill and Kay lead the music for a spiritual  retreat in the hills of Vermont along with lots of youth and adults.

October 16  -- The Ensemble is at First Baptist Church in West Hartford for a Hunger Awareness Concert.

December 4: he Annual LUNCH Holiday Show:  "  'Twas Nuts Before Christmas "
at the Stonington Community Center

SUMMER 2010

 Aug 29: Bill and Kay were at JB Williams Park
 for the CSA Summer Picnic.


August 20-22:  (below)  Bill and Kay in Nashville,  presenting and performing.
They worked with young  artist from across he US and Canada, teaching them how
they can use their love of music to produce successful benefit events.

JULY-AUGUST :  Voices for Hope winners  Santana Roberts, Angel Martin, and
 Mackenzie Ackley came to the studio to make their recordings and videos
 for the Voices For Hope program

In July, Bill and Kay made a swing out to the West Coast. In L.A. along with a
crowd of 18,000 they took in the L.A. Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl,
performing the soundtrack from Planet Earth.


In June, Bill and Kay were in Hingham, MA to do a workshop at the New North Church, presenting the craft of songwriting to a new audience.

CONCERT TO BENEFIT HAITI RELIEF  Feb 14 ,Dunns Corners Community Presbyterian Church, Post Rd, Westerly

Performances in Spring 2010 took the Ensemble to Westerly, Groton, Norwich, Suffield, East Hartford,  Quaker Hill, Willimantic, and West Hartford, raising almost $10,000.


MARCH 6:   Bill and Kay are featured performers to help kick off a new concert series to benefit the Cornerstone Soup Kitchen. The Bread Box concert series with Bill and Kay  will take place on March 6, 7pm, St Pauls Episcopal Church, Willimantic.

MARCH 27-28:  Bill and Kay are at the national Singer-Songwriter Conference in Cape May, NJ, to present workshops and perform .  Bill's presentation on "How to Do Successful Benefit Events" is always a popular topic among musicians.

 In 2009, the Voices For Hope Winner, Caroline Zocco,  recorded "All of Us God's Children", the song Bill wrote for the Special Olympics World Games. The recording wil be available soon online and on the full VFH CD.   See the video on our YouTube Channel
 


 

Bill's song S.A.S.S, written for and recorded by Voices For Hope winners Samantha And Stefanie Schaufler
was selected to by Europe's largest distributor to be played in 20,000 stores across Europe.
